Author Guidelines
General Information
Authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Finance (JOCAF) must ensure that their submissions comply with the journal’s editorial policies, ethical standards, and manuscript preparation requirements. Manuscripts that do not conform to these guidelines may be returned to authors before peer review.
JOCAF publishes two (2) issues annually in June and December.
Types of Manuscripts Accepted
JOCAF accepts the following categories of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Conceptual Papers
- Case Studies
- Methodological Papers
- Policy and Practice Papers
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally contain:
- Title
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion and Recommendations
- References
- Appendices (if applicable)
Abstract and Keywords
- Abstract should not exceed 250 words.
- Authors should provide 4–6 keywords immediately after the abstract.
Language
All manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English.
Formatting Requirements
Authors should ensure that manuscripts conform to the following formatting standards:
- Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
- Times New Roman font
- Font size: 12 pt
- 1.5 line spacing
- A4 page size
- Continuous page numbering
References and citations should follow the latest edition of the APA referencing style
Blind Peer Review Requirement
To facilitate double-blind peer review:
- The main manuscript file must not contain author names or affiliations.
- A separate title page should be uploaded containing:
- Full names of all authors
- Institutional affiliations
- ORCID iD (where available)
- Corresponding author’s email and phone number
Review and Editorial Decision
After submission:
- Manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening to determine whether the submission meet the aims and scope of this journal.
- Suitable manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review.
- Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts.
- Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial evaluation.
